Reiki is a Japanese term which represents Universal life energy. It is popular all over the world. It involves the transfer of energy from a Reiki practitioner to a client to enhance the body's self ability to heal itself through balancing the energy.
Reiki makes use of the body’s natural ability to heal. It is a hands-on energy healing technique which aims to maintain harmony of the body, mind and spirit. It seeks to restore harmony to persons whose vital energy has become unbalanced.
Reiki energy is very effective. It has the potential to bring about deep relaxation, destroy energy blockages, detoxify the system and provides new vitality in the form of healing universal life energy.
Reiki therapy does not involve actual touching. The Reiki practitioner holds his or her hands a few inches away from the patient's body and manipulation of the energy field is done from there itself. However, the practitioner may touch the patient at some instances for some specific treatment.
There are 5 ideals in Reiki which every human being must follow because they help to maintain peace. These include the following:
1 - Just for today, I will not be angry.
Anger is just one word short of ‘danger’. It is the most complex enemy which creates serious blockages in the minds of individuals.
2 - Just for today, I will not worry.
Worries have only negative roles in life. Worry generates fear in the minds of individuals.
3 - Just for today, I will be grateful.
Simple expressions such as smile, good words, gratitude…etc does not cost much but means a lot. Little things like these can bring joy in a person’s life.
4 - Just for today, I will do my work honestly.
It is said, “An ideal mind is a devil’s workshop”.
It is important to keep yourself occupied at some work. Work sincerely and try to give quality results.
5- Just for today, I will be kind to every living thing.
Being kind to everyone is important and it can improve your quality of living.
